Word Of The Week

Abbey's Word of the Week this week is...

Frosty noun
Pronunciation: Od-dee
Abbey has a lot of soft toys. A lot. We've had to convince a couple of her grandparents that a child can have too many soft toys, and that we are our reason for extending our house is not to house more of them. But when Abbey was a baby, before the Soft Toy Ban Of 2010 was imposed, she was given a teddy bear that she instantly fell in love with. Given that he is wearing a hat, scarf and mittens, we named him Frosty.

Abbey has a special bond with Frosty. She cuddles him at night, finds him when she's upset and takes great comfort in a cuddle with him. He's also the toy that has truck rides around the house, is put to bed and covered in blankets, takes part in tea parties, is shut in cupboards and given rides on the dog. He's also the toy that comes with us on car trips, and now has to be kept safe with a seatbelt (ah, the demands of a toddler and her imagination!).
