My two-year-old shopaholic

When I recently noticed how unloved Abbey looked, in her too-short pants, too-tight tops and tights that hang halfway down her legs, I thought I should schedule in a shopping trip.

Little did I realise how much she loves accessories...

Browsing...

Ooh I like this one...
(Meanwhile I was saying, you can choose ONE!)
(And choosing just one took ten minutes.)

The selection. Every girl needs a pink
statement necklace, right?

Having a two-year-old shopaholic does not make me feel good about the health of my credit card in future years!

Ooh yay, she's such a girly girl! Don't worry about your credit card- I'm sure she'll pay you back in housework and lovely birthday presents when she's older. Plus she looks so damn cute! Just make sure she gets a job to fund her own accessory obsession as soon as she's old enough ;) xxx

How cute!

My 20mth old loves her headband, necklace and bracelet. She puts them on in the mornings on her own.

I agree not so good for the credit cards!!

Oh my goodness could she be anymore gorgeous!! Very nice choice of necklace Miss Abbey! I see a future part time job in Diva with an employee discount to ensure Abbey has a lovely BIG range of accessories! xx

lol. Aren't they just great. My 3yr old got up this morning and I asked her what she wanted to do. Her response "Ummm, go to the shops?" I said we can't dad has the car at work.

"call dad, say come home, then we go to shops."

Um, no.

What have I created? lol. At least her sister is anti shopping.

I have a shopping loving daughter too. (no real surprise there really!)
It has become a real bonding time for her and me, and now she is older, also easy for family at birthday & Christmas time, they give her cash and we then spend a day at the shops.

So far our taste has been on the same page, I wonder if that will last!

Abbey looks gorgeous by the way!

Oh Abbey is SO like the Badoo. Evey outfit is accessorised to the MAX in a way that Cappers was never interested in. Shoes, bags, jewels, nailpolish... that's all she cares about.

Oh no! I am raising an ACTUAL girl. What am I going to dooooo!?!? x

PS - you just nailed it for me - the reason for my pathological fear of Max wearing his ankle-freezing trackies about the place. It's not that he's get cold. It's not that he'll be uncomfortable. It's because he looks unloved... who knew!! x

My grand daughter was the same, loved shopping, but with her it was boots. Leather boots. At 17 now, she still loves them.

Hilarious! Loving her final choice!

You are teaching her important things early Megan. It is all about the accessories. I say go with it. Encourage the necklaces! In the long run that alone will save you many dollars on the credit card!

Absolutely necessary. Your girl has style.

I've been reading a lot of your post in Google reader, and just falling in love with your blog all over again.
