I'm a bad Melburnian. I really am.
I've never watched the Melbourne Cup, the race that apparently 'stops a nation'. Instead, I take off for the weekend. Ever since I met Steve, we've gone camping and water skiing most Cup weekends - and this year is no exception.
So, you won't see me around for a few days.
Instead, I'll be camping here, blissfully away from all technology:
And doing some of this:
I'll be back on Wednesday to announce the winner of the gorgeous red Eternal Creation handbag. Did you enter yet? No? Click here!
Have a great few days! xx

Yay! That's lovely that you and Steve have your own little Melb Cup tradition. Have the best time! xx
ReplyDeleteHave fun!! Did you know there's real water under the bridge at Eildon now?!
ReplyDeleteOh that looks way more fun than the Melbourne Cup anyway! What a fabulous tradition.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy. Looks fab. It, ah, doesn't have a 5-star hotel close by, does it?
ReplyDeleteKIDDING!
Sort of...
How very wholesome of you - enjoy xo
ReplyDeletethis is my first visit to your blog....i am glad i popped by - it looks great!
ReplyDeleteso the race that stops the nation can not stop your camping trip, hey? well done, i'd rather camp than watch a horse race too!

Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteThis is one area (what's that two now?) where we differ...I can't stand camping and can barely swim let alone waterski. :)

at heart, you're a Canberran. Public Holiday? OUTTA HERE!
ReplyDeleteOh camping, how horrid...pack the gumboots for this weekend! I used to love the racing carnival, but the VRC marketing committee has had too much success and now there are too many people, too much money spent, too many wankers. It is a great time to leave the city for a few days.
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on the Cup, but don't have anything lined up quite as brilliant as you do! Have a great time.
ReplyDeleteOh my heart and soul are out there with you on the buttery water, spray in my face, wind whipping my hair into a tassled sail behind me and the exhilleration of speed flushing my cheeks... It's been 5 years since I dusted my old wakeboard off and GOD I WANT TO GO FOR A RIDE!!!!
ReplyDeleteAlas...
Rip it up, Megan!
