Renovations: Days Sixty-Five to Sixty-Eight

I was at home today doing some more of the never ending job: painting. We (especially Steve) have been working so hard at it, but it still feels like we've hardly put a dent in it. But I guess that's what happens when you have the whole inside of a (bigger) house, as well as the entire outside of a (larger) house to paint.

Sigh.

Most of the week has seen the builders doing plastering and other fiddly bits and pieces.

But, on a brighter note, there has been some exciting progress...

Our back decking was being covered in with laserlight today!

The Roman blinds were installed in the new part of the house!

It's beginning to look a lot like... home!

  1. It's looking good we have that laser light in a smokey colour on our verandah & it still gets hot.

Have seen some people put like fly screen mesh under it to keep the verandah cooler, we may be doing that this summer.

    (((( Hugs ))))

  3. I haven't popped over in a while (sorry!) but I am pleased that things are moving along for you. I can't believe you are up to 68 days of renovating! It must feel like eternity? Love the roman blinds!

  4. That Caroline Overington book you mentioned as a current favourite is a beauty. I read it through in a heartbeat.I've reviewed it on my Write and read with Dale blog
