Day 6 could, for my purposes, be renamed 'Confessions of a Control Freak'.
The state of my house usually mirrors the state of my life. If the house is messy and out of order, then life is chaotic and muddled. Which is has been of late.
This week, I'm making an effort to form a routine - so that the housework gets done, exercise is back on track, and there's dedicated time for work, play and rest.
And my number one housework moan? Dirty floors.
So, with the floors clean and shiny, I'm ready to face the week ahead.
oh the floors - this is exactly what I am putting off right now. Vacuumed yesterday but mopping is scheduled for today...I know just what you mean about the state of the house reflecting the state of everything else. To me, it is a chicken or the egg kind of thing - what came first? The hectic house or the hectic life...
ReplyDeleteI am implementing Nicole's 15 minute block suggestion (from The Planning With Kids book). It is helpful
you're not alone. me too. thanks to my husband who's always ready to rescue me. cleaning the house is a nightmare for me, you can give me mountain-full of laundry but don't make me sweep the floor... =)
