And so it's a new year

I admit, I'm a new year grinch.

I can't stand all the declarations of "Happy New Year!", the kisses, the drunk people, the forced late night.

What I do like is the chance to set new goals and think about where we've been and where we want to go from here.

So what's in store for me this year?

A wish to see more of our own state. Steve and I are hoping to get away once or twice each month to various parts of Victoria, to see new sights and relive old experiences.

A celebration or two. A couple of milestones lie ahead in 2013: a 10th wedding anniversary and a 1st birthday.

More of the same - with added 'more'. Abbey will be at preschool again and we'll watch her grow and guide her into knowing herself a bit better, as well as preparing for school. Iris will grow from a newborn to a toddler with lots and lots of developmental marks along the way.

As much writing as I can squeeze in. I'm loving my work and will keep it ticking over in between everything else.

An overseas trip. There will be a holiday to one of our favourite spots, to mark one special occasion.

Love, fun, adventure and opportunity! This is going to be a good one.
